Active Kids Program
Marrickville RSL All Stars Netball Club Inc is a provider for the Active Kids Program that was introduced on 31 January 2018.
Parents, guardians and/or carers of school age children (4.5 to 18 years) are responsible for registering for their voucher via NSW Government (Service NSW) and then applying the reference number when signing up for an approved sport or activity.
Our Treasurer has asked that if you are using the voucher for netball, please apply for that prior to completing your online registration in PlayHQ.
To apply for the voucher for netball, parents, guardians and/or carers should apply to Service NSW for the voucher, if applicable, so you can apply the reference number on your netball registration.
Should you have any questions about this program please contact our Treasurer Mary McGrath: marymcg@bigpond.net.au
Umpire Accreditation
Updating – On Court Umpires
Netball Australia has introduced Umpire Accreditation for National, C, B, A or AA umpires. On court umpires are required to complete a series of tasks over a four-year period following their successful attainment of either Netball Australia C, B, A or AA Badge. Netball Australia recommends that all umpires who attain their badge (become accredited) continue to upgrade their knowledge, skills and competencies.
Badged umpires must complete an update notification form (see links hereunder). The form is to be submitted to the Umpires Convenor, Randwick Netball Association.

Vale – Betty McMillian
‘It is with regret that we have been advised that the founder of our Club and life member, Betty McMillan, has passed away today (5 February 2016). Her daughter advised that she passed whilst listening to Glory, Glory to South Sydney… with a smile. We will be forever grateful for the netball family she has bought together. Our prayers and best wishes are with her family xxxx’
Vale – Jennifer Blackmore
A very sad time for the All Stars family. Jennifer Blackmore lost her hard fought battle with cancer on 13 November 2014. Jennie held many positions within our Club, Coaching Co-Ordinator, Liaison Officer and her most treasured position, Junior Convenor. Jennie was also friends to many, many people within our Club. As hard as our loss is, Jennifer Blackmore’s children, Hayden (an upcoming All Stars umpire) and Aimee (who is part of Randwick’s 11s talent squad), have now got their own personal Angel in heaven. On a personal note from our Committee, we love you Jennie, you are always going to live in our hearts every time we set up our tent, we know you will be there keeping us on the correct path. Thank you our friend, safe journey.
