The Benefits of Umpiring

If you’re interested in umpiring please contact the Umpires Convenor. All umpires must sit the Rules of Netball Examination Theory exam and receive a 70% pass to be able to umpire.

Getting Involved in Umpiring

There are many opportunities to start and grow as an umpire in netball. With clear pathways and strong support structures, you can develop your skills and advance through the umpiring ranks.

Umpire Accreditation & Updates

Netball Australia has established a structured Umpire Accreditation Pathway for umpires at all levels:

Umpires are required to complete a series of tasks every four years to maintain their accreditation and continue developing their skills. Netball Australia strongly encourages all umpires to regularly update their knowledge, skills, and competencies.

Accreditation Update Forms

Badged umpires must complete an update notification form and submit it to the Umpires Convenor at Randwick Netball Association.
