Shoosh for Kids

Shoosh for Kids is a collaborative effort between the Office of Sport and sector partners to encourage positive spectator behaviour at junior sport. The Office of Sport provides access to free digital resources to raise awareness  and promote the very simple message – if you don’t have anything nice to say, Shoosh for Kids.

Keep it positive. Keep it fun. Keep kids coming back to junior sport!

Behaviour

A reminder at all times to respect coaches, umpires, officials and other players and spectators, offensive behaviour will not be tolerated. If you encounter an issue during the course of a game, please seek an All Stars committee member to assist you.

Sideline Spectating

Please ensure you allow adequate distance when spectating from the sideline as umpires need space to run up and down the court. Spectators should not be on the baseline of the court. You’ll also note with the introduction of the rolling sub rule last year, a box on the sideline for players to sub onto the court during the game.
